FIRE crews from Farnworth have helped rescue a teenage boy who was stuck 15 metres up a tree.
Emergency services were called in at 4pm on Saturday to bring the 13-year-old boy safely to the ground.
The teenager had climbed the tree in Rutland Road, Worsley, before realising he could not get down again.
Firefighters from Farnworth and Leigh used two nine metre ladders, ropes and a working at heigh kit to reach the boy and ensure his ordeal ended safely.
Paramedics from North West Ambulance Service checked the boy over as a precautionary measure, but he had not suffered any injuries.
