A MAN wanted in connection with a killing in Bolton is on the run.

Mateusz Zbigniew Madej was arrested by detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of Sebastian Zuchlinski and released on police bail.

However, he has failed to return for further questioning and is now wanted by police.

An appeal broadcast by BBC programme Crimewatch on Monday described the man as "dangerous".

Madej is 22 and originally from Poland but has links to Bolton, Manchester, Milton Keynes and London.

Mr Zuchlinski was found in Davenport Street on Saturday, February 6, with a number of stab wounds.

Paramedics attended the scene but the father-of-three was pronounced dead shortly after.

Mr Zuchlinski is originally from Koszalin in northern Poland and reportedly moved to Britain a decade ago.

The 39-year-old was an amateur cage fighter who trained at a variety of boxing clubs and gyms across the borough.

Tomasz Bubrowski, aged 37, of Cavendish Gardens, Bolton, has been charged with murder over the death of Mr Zuchlinski.

He is due to face a two-week trial in February next year at Bolton Crown Court.

Six other people arrested in connection with the murder, including Madej, but were all released on bail.

The five other people answered police bail on May 24 and GMP confirmed they have all been released with no further action being taken.

Anyone who knows where Madej is should call 999 or the incident room number on 0161 856 9908.
