Antony Abbott, aged 36,was found dead in police custody in October last year, after being arrested at Hotel Palm Beach for being rowdy after drinking.

The father-of-two was confirmed dead just two hours after his arrest.

A hearing into the death of Mr Abbott, who worked at Morrison’s store in Chorley New Road, was held at Bolton Coroner’s Court yesterday.

Senior coroner Jennifer Leeming said: “The solicitors acting on behalf of Mr Abbott’s family need to obtain additional information from solicitors working on the case in Spain. The solicitors conducting the inquiries in Spain have still not been able to disclose all the information, therefore I will adjourn today’s hearing to a later date.”
