Big-hearted youngsters have been busy thinking of others.
Children at Clevelands Preparatory School in Heaton have been packing shoeboxes with gifts to be delivered to young people in Eastern Europe this Christmas.
The appeal has been co-ordinated by Rotary International and each box contains luxury and everyday essentials to bring a smile to the faces of children who otherwise would have received very little.
The school was collecting the boxes on behalf of its local Rotary club.
