A DRIVER ran off and left an injured passenger behind after crashing into a bus shelter and spinning round to face the other way.
The dramatic smash happened when a Vauxhall Corsa failed to stop for a traffic officer in a police vehicle.
It left the road and careened into the bus shelter in Chorley Road, Westhoughton, at 11.10pm on Saturday.
The man behind the wheel fled on foot and abandoning his passenger, who suffered minor injuries.
