BOLTON Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson has apologised to a restaurant where player Josh Vela allegedly threatened and swore at staff, it is understood.
The alleged incident is said to have taken place at Chorley New Road’s Retreat on Sunday afternoon, and was described by one onlooker as a ‘disgrace’.
It had been confirmed that the club was aware of the claim and was investigating internally.
Now, it is understood that Parkinson has contacted the restaurant as well as speaking to Vela about the incident.
Vela allegedly verbally abused a member of staff and threaten to ‘knock him out’ before being asked to leave.
Parkinson is apparently due to address the incident at his press conference tomorrow.
Nobody at Retreat wanted to comment.
