THESE shocking pictures show children risking their lives by climbing onto the roofs of shops in Bolton town centre.
The images of the youngsters were taken at the weekend from the top of the Octagon Car Park.
They show two boys on the roofs of properties at the back of Newport Street.
Businesses in the area have reacted with shock to the images, criticising the behaviour of the boys and calling for something to be done.
Wasim Azmi, manager at Athletic Sport, said: "I have seen them up there. They're climbing up there and messing about."
Mr Azmi added that he believes some of the youths he has seen are looking for something to steal.
He said: ""It's disgusting, it doesn't look good at all. Some of these kids are thieves, they're looking for something to take.
"You can call them idiots, but I would call them thieves."
Another man, who works at a local shop and asked not to be named, said that he was more concerned about the businesses and any potential damage that could be done to them.
He added that the youngsters were 'putting their own lives at risk'.
Salome Razaghi, from Salon 44, in Newport Street, branded the pictures 'unbelievable'.
She said: "I don't know what to say. It's really bad to see, it's just unbelievable.
"I would be calling the police if I ever saw it."
