THANK YOU: Groups receive the cheques
COMMUNITY groups received more than £1,000 from an area forum.
The Astley Bridge Area Forum presented the cheques at its latest meeting, with donations totalling £1,175.
Cllr Hilary Fairclough handed the cheques over and said it was good to give something back to the community.
Groups to receive funding included Holy Infant and Saint Anthony Primary School, Griffin Explorer Scouts, the Drummond Street Remembrance Group, the Astley Bridge Baptist Church and Astley Bridge Juniors Football Club.
