A WANNABE model struck a pose to impress judges on the first episode of a TV show.

Abby Heaton, from Kearsley, was seen strutting her stuff on Britain’s Next Top Model (BNTM) tonight.

The 20-year-old, who grew up on a farm, was praised by judge Abbey Clancy when photographed by celebrity portrait snapper Nicky Johnston for her profile picture on the show.

Abbey, married to footballer Peter Crouch, said: “She’s like a real ‘70s babe with porcelain skin and Bardot hair – really subtly sexy.”

Abby, who has worked as a waitress, was chosen out of 6,000 hopefuls to appear on series 11 of the show which is airing on Lifetime.

The winner will land a top modelling contract package.

As well as model Abbey and photographer Nicky, they have to impress male supermodel Paul Sculfor and former fashion director of The Daily Telegraph, Hilary Alexander OBE.

No one was eliminated in show one and the competition looks set to heat up next Thursday at 9pm.
