A MAN and a woman who were arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found stabbed to death following a fire have been bailed.
Emergency services were called to a property in Berry Street, Clifton, at 12.35am on Wednesday, March 22 to report of a fire.
Following a search by firefighters, the body of 47-year-old Thomas Jones was discovered inside the property.
A home office post mortem has now concluded that he died from multiple stab wounds.
A 37-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of murder and have now been bailed until Wednesday, April 12 pending further enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Amber Waywell of GMP's Salford borough said: "Our investigation is continuing, and I would urge anyone with information to contact police as a matter of urgency."
