HOW very canny of our opportunistic PM Mrs May to land her helicopter in north Bolton for a short stay, to urge the locals to abandon a Labour MP who has served since 1997 (well enough in my experience, just like his excellent Conservative predecessor) and replace Mr Crausby with an unknown Tory.

So a PM who was all for remaining in the EU (to please her boss Eton Dave), abandons her stance to seize his job and power and bat for the opposing viewpoint. But can she be really trusted not to water down what the majority voted for in her negotiations with the EU political class who feel 'Little Britain' is only worthy of being bossed around and paying well into the Euro budget whether we fully leave or not?

What do voters in north Bolton have in common with a Tory government of millionaires who esteem loads of money as a right of life and even heap praise on the outgoing George Osborne for being so clever at banking near one million pounds in lucrative non-jobs and speech making over just nine months, whilst ordering cuts to public services and family budgets as 'we all need to tighten our belts a little.'

Tell that to the nurses on a below inflation 1% pay rise yet again, so the these Theresa May led Tories can demonstrate that we all need to share the pain around.

Not them of course - do as they say, not do. The likes of Cameron, Osborne and May just don't get the irritation do they?

Let us hope that the voters in the marginal seat of Bolton NE vote wisely and do not let PM May persuade them to turf out a long serving Labour MP, who for me could be of any party frankly, as it is the dedication to local people and issues that matters, not electing instead an MP who proves to be merely Tory voting fodder, carrying out the orders of the May government over any policy issue arising.
