THE General Election candidates for Bolton’s three parliamentary seats have been formally confirmed.
In the Tory target constituency of Bolton North East, Labour’s Sir David Crausby will be challenged for the seat he has held for 20 years by James Daly, who replaced Abi Kay as the Tory candidate last week.
Also standing are Lib Dem Warren Fox, UKIP candidate Harry Lamb, and the Green Party’s Liz Spencer.
Tory Chris Green and Labour’s Julie Hilling will renew their battle from 2015 in the marginal seat of Bolton West, which was decided by just 801 votes at the last election.
The Liberal Democrats’ Rebecca Forrest and UKIP’s Martin Tighe will also contest the seat.
Five candidates are standing in the traditional Labour stronghold of Bolton South East — Labour’s Yasmin Qureshi, Conservative Sarah Pochin, Lib Dem Frank Harasiwka, UKIP’s Jeff Armstrong, and Bolton Green Party leader Alan Johnson.
