OLD Links' Laura Johnson claimed a fourth Bolton Ladies' Golf Championship crown today when she beat Grainne Pendlebury in the 2017 final at Turton Golf Club.
Johnson won 4&2 to make it a quartet of titles against one-time winner Pendlebury, of Bolton Golf Club, after 20 competitors were whittled down over the week's play.
She succeeds fellow Old Links golfer Helen Braddock – a nine-time champion – as holder of the trophy.
Earlier in the day, Harwood’s Rita Towler retained her Bolton Ladies' Seniors Championship title when she beat Ruth Scanlon, of Chorley, 7&6 – also at Turton.
