TREATS have been distributed all over Bolton so people can unite and share in the celebration of Eid.
Volunteers from the Al-Imdaad Foundation have been out and about handing out chocolate gifts to young and old to mark the Muslim festival of Eid and to spread the message of peace, regardless of race, religion or culture.
Junaid Chapti, from Bolton and one of the foundation’s volunteers, said: “The reactions were amazing of the people receiving their chocolates.
“I felt that saying hello and smiling at another human was contagious. A few volunteers and I demonstrated an instruction of Our prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) which is ‘Spread peace among yourselves’.
“I think this is in the teachings of all other religions and we should follow this universal instruction to promote peace.”
