A REVELLER who lost his wallet on a night out is searching for the taxi driver who returned it so he can say a big ‘thank you’.
Josh Blair, had enjoyed a night out in Manchester city centre celebrating his 25th birthday, on Saturday, August 5.
At the end of the evening he and around a dozen friends got a minibus back home from a taxi rank near The Printworks.
Mr Blair, from Heaton had unknowingly dropped his wallet in the taxi, and the following morning realised he had lost his wallet.
But one week later it was returned to him via recorded delivery with all the cards and cash still inside. A note with the package said: “I am a Muslim taxi driver. I dropped you and your friend in Bolton and I found your wallet in my car I am now sending it back to you.”
Mr Blair, who works at Stateside Foods now, wants to contact the driver to express his gratitude.
He said: “I didn’t really believe it at first, it’s kind of made my year to be honest. It’s unbelievable.”
