THE concert that will reopen the Manchester Arena following May's terrorist attack has sold out.

Tickets for the We Are Manchester benefit concert went on sale at 9am this morning and there was an overwhelming response', organisers said.

The event will be held on Saturday, September 9, and all tickets will have names printed on them and ID checks will be carried out upon arrival.

People are being urged not to buy tickets from unauthorised websites as entry will not be guaranteed.

The concert will be raising money for those impacted by the bombing in May, which killed 22 people.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Courteeners, Blossoms, Rick Astley and 'Longfella' poet Tony Walsh, from Prestwich, are among those performing.

Pixie Lott, Louisa Johnson and Manchester grime artist Bugzy Malone were all added to the line-up today.

All customers will be screened on their arrival at the venue and people are being urged to arrive in good time and to keep personal items to an 'absolute minimum'.

Doors will open from 5pm to give people enough time.

James Allen, general manager at the arena, said that public safety is always the venue's priority and staff are doing all they can to keep people safe.
