SCENE: St Peter's Way
POLICE have confirmed that a man died on St Peter's Way during the early hours of this morning.
An incident occurred at about 2.10am near where the slip road joins the southbound carriageway from Lower Bridgeman Street.
UPDATE: Man arrested on suspicion of murder after altercation
An eyewitness told The Bolton News that police and several ambulances were in attendance and the area had been taped off.
Police later confirmed the incident was connected to the arrest of a man in Elgin Street, Halliwell.
