A MUM has spoken of her shock after a stolen car ploughed into the driveway of her home, pushing her own car into her sleeping son's bedroom.
Seven-year-old Hugh Dallas-Penswick was asleep in his room in Westhoughton on Saturday night when his mother's car crashed into his bedroom wall.
The youngster was so deep in sleep he did not even wake up — despite the police and neighbours dealing with the aftermath at the house at midnight.

But his mum, Karen, is grateful the damage was limited to her car and the walls.
She said: "It could have been a lot worse. If it hadn't been for my car it could have careered straight through the wall. His bed and bedside table are next to the window.
"You don't realise how something like that could so easily happen.
"He slept through the whole thing. He was very surprised when we told him and a little, bit disappointed to miss out on some of the action."
None of the family were hurt in the incident. Mrs Dallas-Penswick, aged 43, was asleep in the home at the end of a long cul-de-sac in Bolton Road which she shares with her son, partner and mother.
At midnight, a white BMW X6 careered on to the driveway, hitting her black Peugeot.
The force of the collision sent her car slamming into the wall of the bungalow.
The BMW then hit the garden wall, damaging brickwork and fencing.
Police have reported that the BMW was a stolen vehicle and Mrs Dallas-Penswick believes the thieves were spooked by a patrol car and tried to get away down Bolton Road.
She said: "It came hurtling up the street and veered off here. I don't think they realised it was a dead end. It is pitch black at the end of the street.
"I heard a bang and didn't think much of it, but my mother looked out the window and saw a car that wasn't ours. A neighbour came out and was also looking around.
"There was a lot to take in, it was so dark and quiet.
"Our car has been completely written off. The stolen car smashed into the back of it and smashed it in the front.
"It is a bit shocking but we are lucky because it could have been a lot worse."
The family do not yet know the cost of the damage and the council has surveyed the damaged house wall which has been deemed safe.
Neighbours also saw the BMW travelling down the road just before the crash.
One said: "I was being dropped off from my night out and it sped past me.
"We do get cars racing up and down, but not that speed."
There have been no reports of any arrests following the incident and inquiries are ongoing.
