An inquest into the death of a 35-year-old man was opened at Bolton Coroner’s Court yesterday.
Paul Mark Lennon Aldridge, of Coniston Avenue, Atherton, died at Royal Bolton Hospital on September 16 this year.
He collapsed at his home address and despite the efforts of medics at the hospital he suffered multiple-organ failure.
A post-mortem investigation by pathologist Dr Patrick Waugh found the medical causes of death were septicemia, septic thromboemboli and an infected deep vein thromboses due to intravenous drug use.
Assistant coroner Timothy Brennand has adjourned the inquest until Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Bolton Coroner’s Court.
