A PENSIONER has pleaded not guilty to three historic sexual offences.

Michael Coleman, of Glaister Lane, Breightmet, appeared at Bolton Crown Court this morning.

He was charged with two counts of indecent assault against a boy aged 12 and one against a boy aged 13.

The offences are alleged to have been committed against two victims between April 1983 and September 1984.

Coleman, who appeared on his 75th birthday, wore a blue jacket and a pale green shirt. He spoke only to deny all charges against him.

A trial has been set for June 25 next year.

Judge Richard Gioserano granted Coleman unconditional bail until his trial date, but advised him to attend a case management trial beforehand if advised to so by his legal team.

Coleman was represented by Colin Buckle in court, while Duncan Wilcock appeared for the crown.
