POLICE have warned youths about making hoax phone calls.

Officers in Little Hulton received three reports on Friday that turned out not to false.

Posting on Facebook, GMP Swinton and Little Hulton released details of two of the phone calls they received.

The first was at 5pm on Kenyon Way from a group of 'young lads' saying that one of them had been shot.

Unfortunately for the youths, the phonebox has '24 carat, diamond encrusted state of the art CCTV', according to the Facebook post.

The post went on to say their faces 'couldn't be clearer in Ultra HD' and warned they could expect a knock on the door later.

The second came from a phonebox on Manchester Road East in Little Hulton at around 7.40pm saying that a mass fight was happening.

The caller went on to say that if emergency services turned up they would 'brick the vehicles'

Making a hoax phone call to police is illegal and police warn that doing so can put other people at risk and can tie up resources that could be spent at other incidents.
