THE renovation of Little Bolton Town Hall has taken another step forward.
Earlier this month, an application for change of use was submitted to Bolton Council requesting permission to turn the existing hall into a restaurant, bar and office space.
The application marks an important step for the project, which will also contain external seating facing out onto both St George’s Street and All Saints Street.
The grade two listed building, which dates back to 1826, was last used as a local history museum in 1993.
It has been empty for a number of years, but recently underwent a £450,000 renovation after being purchased by Chris and Rebecca Brayshaw.
The pair purchased the site after identifying it as the perfect location to move their Umbrellaworld business to from the Nortex Business Centre in Chorley Old Road.
