A SECOND huge concert is coming to the Macron Stadium next summer.

The Killers have announced they will be performing in Bolton on Friday, July 13 — the day before girl band Little Mix are at the stadium.

Tickets go on sale this week to see the Las Vegas-born group, who last week concluded a sold-out UK tour with two shows at London’s O2 Arena.

The band’s two summer 2018 shows — which also include a gig in Swansea — will be their first stadium dates since headlining Wembley in 2013. The two shows also come in addition to the band’s headline slot at Isle Of Wight Festival, announced earlier today

Tickets for the concert at the Horwich venue will be available from 9.30am on Friday, December 8 from ticketmaster.co.uk and gigsandtours.com. A pre-sale of tickets will be available to members of The Killers’ fanclub, The Victims, from 9.30am on Thursday via Ticketmaster.

Since the release of their 2004 debut, Hot Fuss, with its now-classic breakthrough singles Mr Brightside and Somebody Told Me, The Killers have gone on to sell 25 million albums, win countless Grammy, Brit, Q, NME nominations and awards and headline stadia and festivals around the world.

The band’s new LP, Wonderful Wonderful, was released in September and saw the group achieve a record breaking fifth consecutive UK Number One.

News of this second major concert comes just weeks after Bolton Wanderers chairman Ken Anderson revealed the club was discussing the possibility using the stadium as a music venue again.
