MEMBERS of the public are being invited to record a ‘radio Christmas card’ for loved ones and colleagues or as a tribute to a favourite organisation.

Bolton FM is giving people the chance to record a seasonal message at the station’s Christmas stall, in Bolton Market.

There is a minimum donation of £1 for Bolton charity Urban Outreach for those who wish to get involved.

The Mayor of Bolton’s Christmas message is a regular feature over on Bolton FM, and Cllr Roger Hayes was the first to record his festive audio card at the booth.

Rob Hodson, from Bolton FM, said: “Our listeners are everything to us here at Bolton FM and while it’s great to hear the mayor or leader of the council giving a Christmas message, this year we want to put the people of Bolton at the heart of our broadcasts over the festive period.”

He added: “Everyone who records a message will be told when the card will be on the radio so they can direct their family and friends to hear them on the radio”.
