TRAINS in Bolton are delayed due to a signal problem.
A signalling problem around Bromley Cross is causing disruption to trains between Bolton and Blackburn.
Services using the route are experiencing delays of around 25 minutes at the moment although one man said his journey from Bromley Cross to Bolton, which usually takes eight minutes, took an hour.
The disruption is expected to continue until around 12.30pm says National Rail.
Passengers are advised to check journey times using the real-time journey planner on the National Rail website before they travel.
National Rail has also said passengers may be entitled to compensation and passengers should make a note of their journey and keep their ticket.
