CREWS were called out to a car fire in a park on Monday afternoon.
Firefighters from Bolton Central were alerted to the blaze in Longsight Park, Harwood, at 3.15pm.
Watch manager Michael Hodson said the Ford Ka was found well alight in the middle of the field.
He said: "The car was completely destroyed. There were a lot of children around the area but we managed to put out the fire."
The crew from Bolton Central was on the seen for around 90 minutes.
Mr Hodson said the police had been informed but he said a cause of the fire had not been identified but he believes the car could have be stolen.
