A BURST water pipe has continued to delay motorists in Bolton town centre, despite being cordoned off for repairs last Wednesday.
Barriers have been placed around the area of the leak, which covers two lanes at the top of Lower Bridgeman Street near Manchester Road.
Drivers are being diverted around the the incident where water is gushing from a large pothole in the centre of the road.
Council officials said that United Utilities staff had been expected to deal with the issue by Monday morning, with overnight work beginning from Wednesday last week.
A United Utilities spokesman said: "We are sorry for the disruption this has caused. We hope to have completed the repairs by Friday."
