THREE men have been arrested in raids in Farnworth.

Police officers confirmed the recovery of £100,000 of vehicles in a targeted operation at a commercial property off George Road and a residential address yesterday morning.

The trio, aged 18, 32 and 38, remain in custody after they were all arrested on suspicion of theft and handling stolen goods.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police, alongside partner agencies, recovered ten vehicles either identified as stolen or used in crime.

Detective sergeant Jamie Pearson confirmed the arrests but said the investigation was still ongoing.

He added: "Greater Manchester Police is committed to tackling criminal enterprises and warrants such as this would not be able to happen without the help of the community and partner agencies.

"We will continue to actively target, disrupt and dismantle crime networks and would urge anyone who has any suspicions about illegal activity, or the sale of stolen cars and their parts, to please contact us.

"We take all reports seriously and we will listen to community concerns - I think today’s warrant acts as a prime example of that."
