A WOMAN'S Smithills home was burgled while she was upstairs for a matter of minutes.
A blue purse and black iPad were stolen from the home in Thompson Road this afternoon (April 16).
The woman had gone upstairs and a thief entered through an open patio door.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
A post on the GMP Bolton North Facebook page read: "Officers attended a report of burglary at a house on Thompson Road, Smithills, this afternoon.
"The occupant nipped upstairs momentarily whilst her patio door was open and someone entered the house and stole the occupants blue purse and black iPad.
"This occurred around 12.55pm.
"If you have any information relating to this burglary, or have any information relating to where the stolen property is, please get in touch."
