A FORMER NHS occupational therapist scooped a top industry award for the use of digital skills in her new executive role.
Phillipa Winter, chief information officer at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, was pronounced Chief Information Officer of the Year at the Digital Health Awards in Birmingham.
The Digital Health judges recognised Mrs Winter’s "great leadership and efforts in breaking down the boundaries between clinical and informatics workstreams".
Presenting her with the award, the judges commended her application of digital knowledge at the NHS Trust.
The judges described her as someone “who has no ego and is liked by all”.
Mrs Winters was informed that she had scooped the maximum number of votes in the fiercely competitive category.
She said: “What can I say? It’s a privilege. I never thought I’d be able to make such a difference .”
