IT’S very sad that in the same week two well-known female celebrities have had to justify not having children.

First, Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston urged people not to treat childless woman as damaged goods and then British model Kelly Brook reported that she was made to feel selfish by other people because she hasn’t started a family.

Whether or not any woman has children is really no-one else’s business yet you regularly find that other women in particular will ask “so when are you having a baby then?”

Having children is not every woman’s lifestyle choice and that should be fine with everyone else. Some may have wanted children but that hasn’t happened and other people harrying them is just a further cause for heartache.

It’s probably well overdue that we all stopped obsessing on this particular subject – especially among the famous – and let Nature take its course, or not.
