IT’S likely that the Surrey police force which sympathised with travellers for being “uprooted every few days” would receive short shift in Bolton.
They were tweeting about local residents’ reactions when travellers set up on village land. Frankly, living as travellers is a life-choice which would be fine if it didn’t leave communities with hefty clean-up costs afterwards.
St Stephen’s CE Primary School in Kearsley faces a huge bill to tackle rubbish left behind following a visit from travellers. This cuts into the school budget and means children miss out. No mention of that from the misguided Surrey coppers.
