BOLTON School girl Neha Khimani is off to med school after achieving three straight A*.

She said: "I was not expecting these results, not a A* in psychology. I had made all these contingency plans the night before and in the morning I took my laptop to see if I had got into university, and I had.

"It is an amazing feeling. I am ecstatic.

"I have wanted to study medicine for a long time — when I did my work experience in the hospital I really enjoyed it."

Neha, aged 18, will be study medicine at the University of Manchester, and has already a lot of experience, helping out in a pharmacy and volunteering at the hospice.
