THE chairman of Bolton's Clinical Commissioning Group issued a jibe at NHS funding.

Wirin Bhatiani was speaking at the most recent board meeting.

He said: "One statistic I looked up was the number of contacts in primary care, it's 1.34 million.

"90 per cent of contacts are happening in primary care but not 90 per cent of investment.

"There is a imbalance, this is a national issue. 90 per cent of care is happening in the community and in primary care and unless we try and address the issue and beef up our social care some of [our] outcomes are not going to change."
