Stargazer

This look can be easily achieved with a cream eye shadow or metallic powder. Fill the whole socket right up to the brow with the metallic colour of your choice, it works well with gold too.

Define the eyeline with a metallic khol pencil and add glitter dust to highlight the outer corner and undereye. Slightly smudge black liner along the lash line and add a few coats of black volumising mascara. For this dramatic look false eyelashes have been added for fullness.

The base is matte which can be achieved with a good cream or powder foundation. The lips can be acheived with metallic pencil and dark lipstick. Mauve and bronze colours would work well with this for a lighter finish or teamed with gold eyes.

The look can be dressed down for the day. The eye colour could be applied lower than the brow bone - just above the socket line. Save the lashes of glitter for evening and just a sweep of clear glitter lip gloass will finish the look.

Again to prevent the OTT look, tone down the lips to a clear shimmer or a frosted white gloss. Reduce the amount of powder and avoid the glitter and lashes. Brows should be well groomed prior to application of make-up.

Ponytail

Ponytails this season should be worn low. Backcomb the hair to give the pony bounce and position it low near the nape of the neck and tweak it for nights out with head-bands and jewels.

Low and high ponys are both great but be careful not to pull it too high on your head as you can look too "schoolgirl".

When using products use a five to 10p piece depending on the product you use - remember to always read the labels.
