A gang of five masked men threatened a couple with a firearm during an incident in Moss Side.
The couple were at their flat on Claremont Road when they heard a loud bang coming from the communal area at about 5pm on Sunday.
Fearing what was happening, the boyfriend, a 31-year-old man, went to his front door and heard two further bangs.
When he opened his door he saw five masked offenders had forced their way into the communal area and one of the gang pointed a firearm at him. After a brief verbal altercation, the gang left.
The firearm was not discharged at the man and no one was injured.
Police are now appealing for anyone who saw the gang in the area or has any information about the incident to call Longsight CID on 0161 856 4250 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
