A FORMER old folk's home which closed following a report that criticised levels of cleanliness could be transformed into 12 apartments.
Developers will this week learn whether their plans for Haulgh Cottage in Radcliffe Road, Bolton, will be granted permission.
Farr Horizon Developments says it wants to revamp the Tudor-style grade II-listed building.
It was granted permission to create nine apartments at the site in August last year, but has since revised its proposals.
A letter of objection has been received from the Bolton Civic Trust, which says 12 apartments is an excessive number for the building and it questions how the area will cope with the extra cars.
A decision on the application will be made on Thursday.
