Bolton & District Sunday League Football:

THERE is no change at the top of the Premier Division as both Doffcocker and Colliers won.

Cocker won 4-3 at T&S Northwest, thanks to a Grimshaw hat-trick. Colliers Arms beat Vulcan 3-2 at Wharton - Tollday, Smith and Howarth the scorers for Colliers and Porter and Grimley for Vulcan.

Gibralter Rock beat Farnworth Canary 2-0, Paul Roscoe getting both goals. Deane beat Red Lion 8-1 with three goals each from Fay and Leader and a brace from Holt.

In Division One, FC Moses Gate beat league leaders Smokes Farnworth 4-1 in a hard-fought game at Harper Green.

Bradford Arms joined Smokies at the top when they beat Park Great Lever 1-0 thanks to a Tuffers goal. Greyhound beat Egerton 6-3, Jolly Ploughman beat Dukes Gate 5-2 while Prince Rupert ran out 4-1 winners over Astley Bridge, Ant Greer scoring three.

In Division Two, the festive break must have been just the tonic FC Horseshoe needed.

They won their first game of the season with an 8-5 win against Halliwell.

A Goodwin hat-trick, a brace each for Schofield and Kelly and one from Nuttall sealed the win.

Hall I'th Wood stay top with a 2-2 draw against Yew Tree. Darcy Lever charge up the table after a 2-1 win against second place Johnson Fold, new signing Craig Farnworth hitting the target.

Gypsy's Tent just got the better of Parkland Pirates winning 5-4.

The next meeting is on January 29 at Tonge Moor Conservative Club, 8pm start. Ground fees are due.
