Bolton Boys Federation:

PENNINGTON did not let the Christmas break affect their 100 per cent start to the season.

They had a superb 6-0 victory at Bolton County Aces.

Josh Williams helped himself to a double as well as goals from Matthew Collier, Taylor Heyes, Grant Foster and an own goal.

North Walkden had an excellent victory at De La Salle, running out 4-1 victors.

An evenly contested first half was followed by Walkden stepping things up in the second half and dominating the game. The goals for Walkden came from Matthew Young, Matt Jackson, Marcus Burns and Karl Eden. Joe Busuttil got the consolation for De La Salle.

Another great away win saw Westhoughton Rangers control the game against Astley Miners and run out 12-0 victors.

Patrick Loosen had a superb game scoring five times for Rangers while Jake Foster also hit a stunning treble. The other goalscorers for Rangers were Danny Hanlon, Kyle Corrigan, Cory Cunliffe and Matt Atkinson from the spot.

Great Lever enjoyed an 8-2 home win against FCB Rangers. A game dominated by Lever saw Conor Williams score four, Jamil Anfrahat hit a hat-trick and Paul Schofield on the scoresheet.

Pendlebury United progressed to the next round of the Manchester County Cup with a nail-biting 3-2 victory against Dukinfield.
