Castle Hill Res 4 Old Bolts A 5 OLD Boltonians came out on top in a nine-goal Lancashire Amateur League Division Four thriller.
The visitors opened the scoring early on, but Castle Hill reserves responded when Damian Smith smashed home.
However, the visitors went in front just before the break.
The second half saw Castle Hill draw level again when Stuart McNair was the first to react after Dave Ashton had his penalty saved. This spurred the visitors on and they scored three quick goals to lead 5-2. But goals from Lee Matherson and a second from Smith made for a frenetic finish.
