Norcross & Warbeck 1 Stoneclough 2: Stoneclough came from behind to secure a valuable away victory at Norcross and Warbeck.

Although having the better of a wind-swept first half, Stoneclough were unfortunate to find themselves going a goal behind on the stroke of halftime when a rare Norcross attack was headed home.

However, the extra training sessions over the holiday break were clearly paying dividends and, with the visitors stepping up the pace, it was not long before Nic Fisher ran though a bemused home defence and cracked the ball past the advancing keeper.

Sensing that victory was now within their grasp, it was no surprise when, following a flowing downfield move, Nic Malkin's cross was skilfully headed home by Fisher to secure all three points for the visitors.

In an entertaining game at Brook Street, Stoneclough reserves came from a goal down to register a 5-2 victory over visitors Whinney Hill Res.

An Aaron Monks hat-trick, together with two from Steve Harrison, sealed a fine victory.
