CHARITY champions are being urged to swap romance for fundraising on Valentine's Day.
The British Heart Foundation is hoping to raise £1 million on February 14 and is calling on Bolton people to get involved.
Ideas include holding a coffee morning, car wash, film evening or charity dance and the BHF has launched a website to help people with their fundraising.
Chrish Perera, BHF head of community fundraising for Lancashire, said: "With support the BHF could help care for even more heart patients and their families, whether in their homes or on the telephone."
More information can be found on the website at www.bhf.org/valentine.
