Food hygiene inspectors have rated 13 eateries in Bolton in the latest round of inspections.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated three eateries a five, four eateries a four, two eateries a three, two eatieres a two and two eateries a one out of five rating.

The eateries with the highest score of five out of five for their food hygiene include Jolly Carter at Jolly Carters, 168 Church Street, Little Lever, rated on September 20, The Beehive at 991 Chorley New Road, Lostock,rated on September 17 and Damascus Restaurant at 156-158 Derby Street, rated on September 15.

In their inspection reports, the eateries were rated very good and good across the board.

Four eateries have also been handed new hygiene ratings of four out of five these include Cafe in the Fields at New Chapel United Reform Church, New Chapel Lane, Horwich, rated on August 20, The Cotton Tree at 15 Prince Street, Bolton, rated on August 21, Valentino's at 193 Rishton Lane, Bolton, rated on September 17 and Turkish Shawarma & Grill House at 313 Tonge Moor Road, rated on September 15.

On the inspection reports it states that the hygienic food handling at Cafe in the Fields and The Cotton Tree are very good whilst they were good at Valentino's and Turkish Shawarma & Grill House.

The cleanliness and condition of facilities and building was good for both Valentino's and Turkish Shawarma & Grill House and generally satisfactory for Cafe in the Fields and The Cotton Tree.

All eateries were handed generally satisfactory for the management of food safety.

Koolios Fried Chicken at 356 Derby Street and Chicky's Chicken & Shakes at 38 Higher Swan Lane were both handed three out of five ratings.

Both eateries were rated generally satisfactory across the board.

Sicilia Mia at 174 Chorley Old Road, Bolton and Point B at 186-188 Derby Street, Bolton were rated two out of five.

Improvement was necessary for hygienic food handling for both restaurants and the management of food safety was generally satisfactory for both.

However, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building for Sicilia Mia improvement was necessary but it was generally satisfactory for Point B.

Lastly, Coffee, Cake & Craft at Unit 10 St Andrews Court, Chancery Lane and Farnworth Social Circle at Piggott Street, Farnworth were rated one out of five in their recent inspections.

Major improvement was necessary for the management of food safety for both eateries.

Improvement is necessary at Coffee, Cake & Craft for food handling whilst Farnworth Social Circle was generally satisfactory.

The cleanliness and condition of facilities and building for Coffee, Cake & Craft was generally satisfactory and was good at Farnworth Social Circle.
