A community group has set up a 5k dad run challenge to help bring dads together, all while helping people keep fit.
Sam's Warriors (spelt Sam’s Warr;ors) was first set up by Sam Ormrod, 36, from Horwich, after battling his own mental health struggles.
He aims to help people rediscover themselves through healthy lives and minds, with exercise, as well as alternative therapies.
The Dad’s Run will take place every Tuesday at 6pm on Green Lane playing fields, Horwich.
Head torches are also provided for the darker nights.
For more information on the event or the group email samormrod11@gmail.com or call 0755 3811 590.
The organisation covers the cost of training and are hoping to get the event running in as many places as possible in the next year or so.
