A man was arrested earlier today on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs.
The 38-year-old was arrested after police raided a house on Norfolk Road, Atherton earlier on Thursday January 26.
He has now been charged and will face the magistrates court at a later date.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Today the team have conducted a warrant at an address on Norfolk Road, Atherton where a quantity of drugs were found and a 38 year old male was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs.
“He has since been charged with possession of a Class A drug and bailed to appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday May 31 2023.
“This type of activity is only possible with the support of the public and the information we receive.
“Please continue to report any information around anti-social behaviour or criminality to GMP or anonymously via CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.”

The arrest came amid a series of actions undertaken by police across the Atherton and Tyldesley areas aimed at dealing with crimes like these and engaging with the public.
Along with arrest like these, earlier this week officers visited Fred Longworth High School to discuss the implications of knife crime with more than 500 students.
