SIX thugs started a violent street brawl after a drunken row got out of hand, a court heard.

Two rival groups clashed outside Barracuda Bar in Bradshawgate, Bolton, in the early hours of July 27, last year.

They were arrested by police after the fight was captured on CCTV, Bolton Crown Court was told yesterday.

The six men, who have all pleaded guilty to affray, are: Wesley Nedderman, aged 25, of Lowther Street, Great Lever; Clinton Nedderman, aged 30, of Woodgate Street, Great Lever; Karl Hannam, aged 20, from Wednesbury in the West Midlands; Paul Gilligan, aged 28, of Thirlmere Drive, Little Hulton; Majid Bogranpur, aged 28, of Rupert Street, Great Lever and Abolfazi Samiezadeh, aged 32, also of Rupert Street, Great Lever.

The court watched CCTV footage of the escalating argument, which began as a stand-off between Bogranpur and Wesley Nedderman.

Bob Sastry, prosecuting, said that Wesley Nedderman was one of the first to leave the bar.

"He goes to the road and takes off his belt and lunges at an unknown male, who also has his belt off which he is brandishing," said Mr Sastry.

Wesley Nedderman was then joined by his brother, Clinton, and Gilligan, who started to fight in the street with Bogranpur and Samiezadeh.

The two men were chased to the door of the Barracuda Bar.

Bogranpur then ran off down a side alley, chased by Wesley Nedderman who hit him with his belt and kicked him while he lay on the floor.

All the men admitted being part of the affray and are due to be sentenced today.
