A resident has shared pictures of gaping holes in the home he is living in.

Raymond Glaister who lives in Deane claims that it all started when a leak developed in another flat affecting his apartment.

Raymond says that the holes just got bigger and bigger.

Bolton at Home have since apologised for the amount of time it has taken to resolve the issue and have since agreed on an inspection date with Raymond to complete repairs.

Raymond said: “I’m glad they are coming to fix it.

“It just got bigger and bigger, and pieces have started falling off.

The Bolton News:

“When there was a leak, I saw water running down and heard it, and I was told there was nothing there and they saw it four times.

“They fixed the leak upstairs, but I can see into the bathroom from the kitchen because the hole is so big.”

Raymond says that it got to the point where he didn’t want to invite anyone round due to feeling too embarrassed.

He added: “It was making me feel depressed and stressed.

“Bolton at Home just said they would be in touch, but nothing happened.

“I haven’t been able to have the kids or anyone round because it’s embarrassing.

“My daughter had a baby six years ago and she can’t come round.”

Raymond says that he has been waiting a while to have it permanently fixed.

A spokesperson for Bolton at Home said: “We apologise to Mr Glaister for the time it’s taken us to resolve this issue.

“We’ve now agreed an inspection date and will complete the required repair works as soon as possible.”
