New food hygiene ratings have been given to two of Bolton’s takeaways - with one of them being given a zero star.
Spice India, at 138 St Helens Road, Bolton, was handed a three-out-of-five rating after an assessment on April 27, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The inspection report states both the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and the management of food safety are generally satisfactory whilst the hygienic food handling is good.

And Fratelli, at 19 Market Street, Little Lever, was given a score of zero on April 27.
The inspection report for the eatery states major improvement is necessary in all areas.
It means that of Bolton's 371 takeaways with ratings, 141 (38 per cent) have ratings of five and just five have zero ratings.
