A Bolton housing association is inviting residents and their loved ones to join in a number of activities during the school summer holidays.

Bolton at Home has a number of activities for residents to partake in up to the end of September starting with open day launch events at four of the UCAN centres.

From Monday, July 10 until Thursday, July 13, they can join the social housing provider from 3pm to 6pm, at special open day launch events.

Residents can expect food and refreshments, a visit from Wanderers' Lofty the Lion mascot, an "Ice Green" van, face painting, Henna, an opportunity to meet and get useful information and advice from the dedicated community teams and more.

These events will be taking place at Deane UCAN Centre, Withins UCAN Centre, New Bury UCAN Centre and Tonge Moor UCAN Centre.

Also taking place this summer will be family fun in various Bolton parks including free children’s lunches from Tuesday, July 25 to Friday, August 25.

From 11am to 3pm from Tuesdays to Fridays, residents can expect inflatables, live cooking sessions, games, sports, crafts, Bikeability (cycling skills) and more for free.

There is no need to book onto any of these sessions before attending, and all children will receive free packed lunches (provided by Urban Outreach’s "Bolton Lunches" programme) as part of these sessions.

On Tuesdays, the events will take place at Moses Gate, on Wednesdays they will happen at Queens Park, on Thursdays they will occur at Moss Bank Park and on Fridays they he held at Westhoughton Park.

Also taking place this summer will be pond dipping and other outdoor activities in Breightmet and Westhoughton.

Bolton at Home will be running several outdoor sessions at Seven Acres, Eatock Lodge, and Red Lane Growing Project.

Their pond dipping sessions are always popular, and they will also be running multiple 'Bug Hunt' sessions this year, too. Here are the dates and times:

There will also be outdoor family adventure sessions with WAVE Adventure.
