The old and new side by side. Taken in 1976 this photo shows Birtenshaw Methodist Church on Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, which had recently been sandblasted situated next to the new Eagley Court development.
It was to be operated by Anchor Housing Association and the first tenants were due to be moving in within weeks.
